35 Afghan Militants Arrested in Lachi Kohat

Thirty five Afghan militants’ suspects were arrested in Lachi Kohat on Tuesday. According to District Police Officer Mr. Dilawar Khan Bangash during search operation in Chechana Afghan refugee camp, Sumari and Banda Fateh Khan, Lachi police have arrested 35 Afghan militants on suspicion of their involvement in attacks on Kohat police. Arrested Afghan militants suspects were handed over to investigation team of Anti Terrorist Squad for interrogation.

During the night between Monday and Tuesday unknown miscreants had launched bomb attack on residence of Police SHO Ustarzai. His residence was partially damaged no loss of life was done. Case against unknown miscreants was registered in Ustarzai Police Station.

Meanwhile Kohat police has recovered 10kg Cannabis from secret compartments of car # LEA 2178, on Indus Highway; smugglers have managed to escape from the car. Case against unknown smugglers was registered.

According to DIG Police Kohat region Mr. Abdullah Khan three terrorists were arrested in Doaba Hangu on Tuesday, during search operation in Mohallah Noorani, explosives and suicide bomb jackets were recovered from the custody of the three arrested terrorists. Three arrested terrorists were shifted to unknown place for further investigation.

Brother and Sister Committed Suicide in Kohat

A young man had committed suicide on Monday in Meerozai village of Kohat, after 24 hours of his suicide his sister had also committed suicide on Tuesday. In Meerozai village of Kohat Muzafar Hayat son of Sikander Hayat had shot himself dead in his home due to unknown reasons, his young sister Aisha was deeply shocked and was unable to tolerate separation from him, consequently she had also shot herself dead within her home. According to police sources when dead body of Aisha was brought to Liaqat hospital Kohat her postmortem was delayed for two hours due to absence of lady doctor, her angry relatives had shouted slogans against hospital administration and became violent, after intervention of police they were pacified, her relatives had taken back her dead body without postmortem and went back to Meerozai village eventually in peaceful manner, and have buried her dead body in her native graveyard in Meerozai Kohat.

President Kohat PPPP Arrived Back from Karachi

‘Diabetic patient Malik Aurangzeb resident of Behzadi Chikarkote Kohat had lost his leg till his knee when doctors had conducted his surgical operation in a hospital of Islamabad, earlier his thumb was removed during a surgical operation in a hospital of Peshawar,’ his family sources have said. ‘Mrs. Ijaz is also in a critical condition due to paralysis attack, she is mother in Law of deceased Aurangzeb resident of Behzadi Chikar Kote Kohat, deceased Aurangzeb had breathed his last, last year, he was also diabetic patient,’ her family sources have said.

Abdur Rauf Advocate President Kohat PPPP has arrived back from Karachi, he had attended a conference in Karachi conducted by UNDP, Abdur Rauf advocate had delivered lecture on Public interest litigation to the participant of the conference. According to Abdur Rauf advocate situation was normal in Karachi, on Zeebunisa Street of Karachi shopkeepers close their shops early in the evening, Karachi was famous for its lively nights but now it gives a deserted look during the evening.

Eleven Militants Killed in Security Forces Operation

At least eleven militants were killed and 42 others were arrested during security forces operation in Shen Dhand FR Kohat and Lower Orakzai agency on Friday. Local sources in Turki Ismaeel Khel area of Shend Dhand have said that dead body of Abid Ramza a commander of defunct Tehrik I Taliban Dara Adam Khel was found in Turki Ismaeel Khel, he was arrested but had escaped from Kohat Central Jail along with his two other accomplices last year. In Jawaki, Ghariba Paya, Shadi Khel and Arha Khel areas of Sheen Dhand 42 militants were arrested in security forces search operation, three militants experts of bomb making and two injured militants were included among 42 arrested militants.

‘In Lower Orakzai Agency area of Chapri Feroz Khel dead bodies of ten militants were found after air attacks on hide outs of militants, militants command post in the area was dismantled in air attacks, number of dead might be greater then ten, security forces have captured the hide outs of militants belonging to Tehrik I Taliban Dara Adam Khel group headed by Tariq Khan in Lower Orakzai agency area of Chapri Feroz Khel,’ sources have said.

A Woman Raped and Killed in Kohat


Molested dead body of a woman was found from residence of an Afghan refugee located in Ghamkole refugee camp Kohat on Monday, Kohat police have arrested the refugee on charges of murder and rape. According to District Police Officer Kohat Mr. Dilawar Khan Bangash while acting on a tip of Kohat police have recovered dead body of Nazima from the residence of an Afghan refugee Syed Nazir son of Syed Abbas located in Afghan refugee camp # 2 Kohat. The dead body of Nazima was buried in gutter of the house. Deceased Nazima wife of Nisar was abducted from Haripur and was gang raped before her murder; police has arrested accused Afghan refugee Syed Nazir from Kohat bazaar and have registered case against him under anti terrorist act 1997.

The struggle to create an egalitarian society in Pakistan where constitutionalism and rule of law shall prevail was started by Chairman PPP Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, his struggle was further carried out by his daughter Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, existing pppp lead coalition government is also working in the same direction, Alqaida ally Baitullah Mehssod is now under siege in Waziristan, Maulana Fazlullah is also besieged by Pakistan security forces, and has become reportedly injured during clashes between his militants and security forces in Swat.

Blood donations were the need of the hour and on call of PPPP leadership people have responded positively, blood donation camps were established in all over the country. Sectarian Violence

‘At least five people including women and children were killed in ongoing Kurram agency sectarian violence, when rocket attacks were launched in Sada. Sunni population of Parachinar capital of Kurram agency have migrated or killed, now in upper Kurram agency areas of Bushera, Teri Mengal and Sangbaz Sunni Muslims have been besieged. In on going clashes between Tori Shia tribesmen and Sunni sect tribesmen of Sada violence broke out earlier this week when Tori tribesmen have created a new bunker near Khar Kalay area,’ Attaullah of Parachinar reform committee has said.

Ataullah and other members of Parachinar reform committee have appealed to Governor NWFP, Interior Minister and others to intervene and end violence in Kurram agency.

Explosions After Midnight

‘Miscreants had damaged two WAPDA towers near Togh Kohat with explosives during the night between Friday and Saturday. Both the damaged towers were worth one and a half million rupees, WAPDA technicians are working hard to repair the damaged towers to restore Electric supply to Kohat Cement Factory, Gumbat and Choorlaki towns of Kohat,’ WAPDA sources have said.

‘Around seven powerful bomb explosions had rocked the buildings in Togh Kohat and its surrounding areas during the night, explosions have also rocked the buildings in near by Paracha Town,’ sources have said.

Lucky Survivor of a Rocket Attack

A retired officer of Pakistan Air Force was hit twice by miscreants has survived both attempts on his life. On seventh of April 2009 Mr. Muhabat Khan a retired Pakistan Air Force officer resident of KDA sector 2 Kohat was heading towards Kohat from KDA on his motorcycle when an Afghan Suzuki driver had hit his motorcycle from behind, consequently his motorcycle was damaged and his left leg was injured, he was under treatment in Kohat CMH hospital Kohat, and was having regular checkups of his injured leg.
On 9th of May 2009 when he was heading towards his home from Kohat Courts near Happy Valley he was hit again when a rocket attack was launched near MP check post, splinter of rocket shell went into his right leg, both the military policemen standing near him were unheart, Mr. Muhabat Khan says that the rocket was landed on a tree near him and with a large noise when it was exploded the darkness was spread around him in the afternoon, with large splinter in his leg he had reached CMH hospital again, where the splinter was extracted from his flesh, Mr. Muhabat Khan with his both ailing legs is now under treatment in CMH hospital Kohat, goes their for regular checkups and his wounds are now healing up.

His son Captain Raza of Pakistan Army has become source of advantage for him, he gets medical treatment in Combined Military Hospital Kohat because his son is an in service Army officer. Kind hearted Muhabat Khan had said nothing to Afghan driver whom had hit him when he was heading towards Kohat on his motorcycle on seventh of April though the driver was caught at the spot by the people.

Mysterious Murder of Minority Councilor

A minority councilor was mysteriously found dead in his residence on Tuesday in Kohat. According to police sources, dead body of deceased Dhyan Chand elected minority councilor of Kohat urban 2 was found hanging with ceiling fan of his room tied with a rope in his neck, his dead body was having torture signs on it. His family members have said that he had committed suicide due to differences with his family, because, of the torture signs on his dead body his murder case is hanging between murder and suicide; Kohat police had registered FIR in City police station and carrying out further investigations to solve his murder mystery.

Two People Killed in Remote Control Bomb Attack on Police Bus


Two people including one policeman have lost their precious lives, and twenty others including 16 policemen were injured in a remote control bomb attack on police bus carrying prisoners on Saturday morning in Kohat. According to spokesman of Kohat police, bus carrying 17 prisoners was heading from district Jail Kohat towards Kohat Courts, near Zero Point square on Indus Highway Kohat Bannu road was hit with remote control bomb planted at roadside, consequently police constable Muhammad Shah and a pedestrian Muhammad Alam resident of Zara Mela Jerma Kohat have lost their lives, while ASI Daud, ASI Samiullah, Head Constable Maeed ur Rehman, Head Constable Dilsose, HC Sada Khan, HC Mazhar Hussain, Constable Mubasir Hussain, Faqir Hussain, Wasil Hussain, Amir Najeeb, Mansoor, Ameer Nawaz, Asad Khan, Fahim Haider, Waseem Haider, Gulistan resident of Jerma, Muhammad Yaqoob resident of DIKhan Shahjehan resident of Khatak Colony Kohat and Muhammad Raheem were injured. Injured people were rushed towards KDA hospital Kohat. Case against unknown miscreants was registered in Sadar police station Kohat.

Kohat Police Spokesman has said that DPO Dilawar Khan Banngash and high ranking officials of Pakistan Army including men of bomb disposal squad had rushed to the trouble spot, the area was cordoned off, DIG Kohat region Muhammad Idrees Khan Bangash, and DCO Siraj Ahmed had visited the injured in KDA hospital. Governor NWFP Muhammad Awais Ghani, Chief Minister NWFP Amir Haider Khan Hoti and IGP NWFP Malik Naveed Khan have announced compensation money for departed souls and injured people.

NWFP Minister Injured in Militant's Attack

Minister for Prisons in NWFP was injured and his two guards were killed when militants had launched attack on his vehicle near Akhurwal area of Dara Adam Khel on Thursday.
‘Minister for Prisons in NWFP Mian Nisar Gul was heading towards his home town Karak from Peshawar when his vehicle was attacked near Akhurwal area of Dara Adam Khel, injured minister was rushed to a hospital in Peshawar, his two guards and a militant were also killed during exchange of fire between militants and his guards,’ a source has said.
Kohat police had arrested an alleged suicide bomber and 23 other suspects during search operation on Thursday. According to police sources, while acting on a tip of Kohat police in raid on a house in Dheri Banda Kohat had arrested alleged suicide bomber 35 years old Abdul Karim resident of Orakzai agency. During police investigations alleged suicide bomber had revealed that he was trained in a training camp in Teerah area of Orakzai agency and was deployed in Kohat to launch suicide bomb attack on a specific target, police is interrogating the alleged suicide bomber to get complete information regarding the network. Twenty three other suspected tribesmen were also arrested in Kohat during search operation of Kohat police, on G3 Rifle, three Klashinkovs, two guns, six pistols and hundreds of cartridges were recovered from the possession of arrested suspects.
‘Security forces have destroyed Dara Adam Khel weapon manufacturing factories and hide outs of militants on Friday, ten suspects have been arrested. After Thursday militant’s attack on NWFP Minister for prisons Mian Nisar Gul Kaka Khel and abduction of APA Jamrood and Khyber agency Mr. Daftar Khan in Akhurwal area of Dara Adam Khel, security forces had encircled the said area, and had arrested ten suspects, forces had destroyed two residences of Dalil Khel tribesmen Shamas and Inayat on charges of providing weapons and money to militants. Security forces had also destroyed two residences of militants Shahid and Ibrahim in Akhurwal. Dead body of militant killed during attack on NWFP Minister for prisons Mian Nisar Gul Kaka Khel was buried in Kohat, forensic evidence for DNA test was collected and was sent to FSL,’ police sources have said.

‘Malik Aurangzeb had lost five fingers of his foot after surgical operation on Sunday in a hospital in Peshawar,’ his family source has said. Malik Aurangzeb resident of Behzadi Chikarkote Kohat is cousin of Malik Asad, and brother in law of ex Accountant General of Pakistan Mr. Ahmed Rasul Bangash. Malik Aurangzeb is government contractor by profession. He is a sugar patient and to save his leg from spreading infection surgeons had removed fingers of his foot today in a government hospital in Peshawar.

Militants Attempt to Abduct Nuclear Scientist Foiled


Abducted Professor of Physics along with two other abducted persons was released from captivity of abductors in Kohat on Thursday, a militant commander head of the gang of abductors was killed in encounter with Kohat police. According to CID sources Chairman Physics department of Kohat University(KUST) doctor Fida Younus, along with his brother Maqbool Manager Khushal Bank Kohat and Medical Representative Hayatullah was heading towards his office in his Chuffer driven car when was intercepted by militants on Thursday morning, his Chuffer Farooq had escaped while Dr. Younus, Maqbool and Hayatullah were abducted by militants. His driver Farooq had immediately called Kohat police department, and had informed the police about abduction of the said persons. Kohat police after a brief chase had intercepted the abductors near Dhoda village of Kohat, and during encounter with police militant commander and head of the gang of abductors Abdul Wadood of Baitullah Mehsood group was killed and his another accomplice was arrested.

According to DIG Kohat region abduction attempt of physics professor Dr Fida Younus was an effort of militants to get know how regarding nuclear technology but valiant Kohat police men and officers had foiled the attempt of militants.

Two People Killed in Teera Bazaar Kohat Bomb Explosion

Two people were killed and twenty three others including two women were injured when remote control bomb was exploded in a bus terminal of Orakzai Agency located in Carvan Sarai of Teerah Bazaar Kohat.

According to Kohat police sources a bearded man entered in Carvan Sarai (popularly known as Saifur Sarai) where travelers of Orakzai agency were waiting for the bus, he was holding a bag in his hands, he had placed the bag near the door of bus terminal manager’s office and moved back to exit from his office when remote control bomb placed in the bag went off, consequently Shah Zaman resident of Mullah Zai Peshawar and a young tribesmen Naik Naam resident of Arha Khel Orakzai agency were killed at the spot, and Zaida Bibi, Anzla Jan, Kabir Ali, Shamim Ali, Talib Ali Saifur Ali, Saifur Ali, Parvez Khan, Tanweer Hussain, Dilawar Khan, Nisraj Ali, Muhammad Jan, Imdad Hussain, Amin Hussain, Shafiq Ali, Rizwan Ali, Sangeen Ali, Iqrar Hussain, Waseel Khan, Ishaq Ali, Shaukat Hussain, Musawar Hussain, Zabib Ali, Meer Hussain and Ashiq Ali were injured.

Soon after the explosion in Saifur Sarai Kohat police had cordoned off the Teera Bazaar area, DIG Kohat region Muhammad Idrees Khan, and District Police Officer Dilawar Khan Bangash along with bomb disposal squad and relief team of Rescue 15 police Kohat have visited the Sarai and have inspected the troubled spot. Emergency in all the hospitals of Kohat was imposed and all the staff was called on duty.

Chief Minister NWFP Mr. Amir Haider Khan Hoti had condemned the violent incident and had announced free medical treatment for 23 people including two women injured in the bomb explosion.
