Suicide bombers

‘Suicide bombers were kidnapped in their childhood by a terrorist organization and were kept aloof from the civilized world, and are completely illiterate. They are only trained to make a suicide bomb attack, are kept and trained in an environment where they were never able to see any TV or any other media to get informed about other aspects of life,’Ex Army service man Mr. Mehmood Tariq has quoted a Pak Army Brigadier as saying this.
‘Heroine addicts are used by terrorist organizations as suicide bombers,’ a source on condition of anonymity has said.
‘For mere five thousand rupees suicide bombers are selling their lives, when head of a terrorist organization was arrested in Waziristan tribal area, it was revealed by him,’ a source has said on condition of anonymity.
‘First Suicide bomb attack was made by a citizen of Israel in the history of mankind, suicide bomb attacks on mosques in Pakistan were made by agents of Indian RAW, poor people in India are sacrificing their lives for their country by making suicide bomb attacks on Pakistani mosques, because of their poverty they become effective tools in hands of RAW agents,’ a source has said on condition of anonymity.

Six persons are killed in Mingora

‘In Mingora Swat six persons are killed and 15 security forces men are injured in a suicide bomb attack on Sunday, injured persons are admitted to hospital,’ Major General Arshid Waheed has said.
‘In Sada area of Kuram agency tribesmen had attacked an FC Fort, five tribesmen are killed when government forces had retaliated back from the fort, Governor NWFP has visited Kuram agency to probe into this matter,’ a government official has said on condition of anonymity.
‘Six security forces men are also abducted by Taliban militants on Thursday , 25 Kalashnikovs and cash is also plundered by militants from office of Assistant political agent of Dara Adam Khel, his office is located in posh area of KDA Kohat,’ a source on condition of anonymity has said.

Promtion of violence through TV channels

My five years old son Faraz Raziq wear jeans and shirts mostly imported from USA in Taliban dominated society of Kohat district of NWFP, his maternal uncle Malik Faiz an year ago was student of a university in Oklahoma, so shirts, color pencils and other stationary was provided to my children by their maternal uncle was all made of USA, now Faraz wears jeans while going to the mosque for getting lessons in holy Quran, few days ago he came from the mosque and while doing paint on laptop computer suddenly has said in Hindi Hay Bhagwan save me(oh God save me) I politely asked him that how he has learned Hindi, he has told me from Indian TV channels I have learnt these words.
Now my daughter seven years old Aina Raziq speaks Hindi words during her conversation and my three years old son Moaz Raziq when ever gets hold of a girl of his own age starts performing marriage circles the way Hindu brides and grooms do around the fire, dish antenna and cable TV is largely responsible for this state of affairs within my home, yesterday night three years old Moaz had pulled out his toy pistol on me when I was watching a news channel his demand was that I shall change the channel he wanted to see Star TV an Indian channel series in which only ghosts and bloodshed is being televised every day.
My Afghan neighbors of Taliban orientation wear big beards on their faces and are unwilling to send their children specially daughters to school, now their children when ever find a chance attack my children when they are going or coming back from school, my son Faraz has learnt names of male and female genital organs in Pashto language from the children of my Afghan neighbors, these Afghan children of a family of Taliban orientation are unbelievably good in round the clock talking about sexual activity and keep on hurling abuses to each other, I most often hear them while working on my laptop in a room with French windows of my home which is located just opposite to the residence of my Afghan neighbors.
Today intentionally I have wasted few hours just to check all the TV channels which my children are watching now a days, their was nothing but a bloodshed and within the home conspiracies of mother in laws and daughter in laws on Indian TV channel Star TV and Zee Smile, three years old daughter of mine Rida Raziq which is popularly known as daughter of Rachel Sterne in my home because of her resemblance with her was keenly watching a series full of bloody scenes on Star TV, I have just placed orders for an antenna which will only be able to capture PTV, I have no other option American and British TV Channels are not available on dish antenna, only on Pakistan TV my children can watch some popular American and British TV serials, these both Indian TV channels are busy in poisoning the minds of younger ones, I wonder whether Mr. Manmohan Singh will take notice of this situation and will provide some code of ethics for media to abstain them from promoting violence in society.

Suicide bomb attack on a mosque in Charsada NWFP

Fifty persons are killed and hundred are injured when a suicide bomber blew himself with explosives in a mosque located in Sherpao village of Charsada district where believers were doing their Eid prayers on friday, two sons of Ex Interior Minister Mr. Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao and a nephew were also present in the mosque his nephew Mustafa is also injured.
Injured are hospitalized and financial compensation for dead and injured is announced by Governor NWFP Mr. Ali Muhammad Jan Orakzai.
President of Pakistan has also condemned the terrorists involved in this crime, security forces in NWFP province are at a high alert now.
Meanwhile on Thursday 25 Kalashnikovs and cash are stolen by unknown miscreants from the office of Assistant Political Agent located in posh area KDA Kohat.

Renown painter is killed in Karachi

‘World renown painter Mr. Gul Jee, his wife and maid servant are tortured and killed within his residence, their dead bodies are found by police at his residence in Karachi Clifton, his driver and guard are missing police is searching for them. Dead bodies were having peace of cloth in their mouths, reason behind their murder is not known yet. The dead bodies are three days old,’ DPO Asif has said.
‘On Wednesday in Mehrab Pur Nowshero Feroz Sind, Karachi express coming from Lahore to Karachi had an accident, 45 persons are killed and 160 persons are injured. Compensation will be paid to families of dead and injured in the accident, action against people responsible for the accident will be taken soon’ railway minister Mansoor Tariq has said.
President Parvez Musharaf has issued necessary directives regarding provision of medical aid to the injured in rail accident.
‘Karachi railway track is now open for railway traffic,’ DPO Nowshero Feroze has said.

Conference of Correspondents December 2007

I was busy in writing an article when a colleague of mine in Associated Press of Pakistan Islamabad Head Office Mr. Ameer Khan had contacted me on my mobile phone and has conveyed the message that there is conference in Islamabad and you have to reach their during the night at 12th of December 2007, obediently I had reached Islamabad around six o’clock in the evening after completion of formalities like filling up certain forms regarding traveling expenses and suggestions regarding improvements in the system of APP.
Correspondents working for Associated Press of Pakistan in different districts of Pakistan were sitting in common room, Mr. Armani of Swat became focus of my attention, when I asked him about situation in Swat he has said Mullah Fazlullah has escaped towards Teemergara it is my hunch, when I told him that Mullah Fazlullah along with his militants is sandwiched by Pakistan Army troops and it is the statement from Major General Naseer of Pak Army he has still insisted that Mullah is somewhere in Malakand division near Pak Afghan border.
Soon we were boarded in van to reach our hotel rooms, with the order from our kind immediate boss Mr. Ambrose Joseph incharge of District Correspondents APP that we are bound to have a dinner to night in head office Managing director APP Mr. Riaz Hussain Roy the most kind big boss which we ever had during last seven years of service in APP.
I checked in, in a guest house room around 7:30 pm and hurriedly made myself comfortable and have asked the room service men to press my clothes before dinner I was not in a mood to face the big boss in my jeans, which I most often use during traveling, an apparently efficient looking bell boy had immediately collected all my clothes from the bag and went away hurriedly, I was waiting for him but then 8:30 he was unable to bring back my dresses, the call came on room phone from reception, Sir, vehicle from APP is waiting for you, you have to attend the dinner and what about my clothes I asked from a man on reception reply came not pressed yet, their was no option but to attend the dinner in jeans, I came out and along with my other colleagues boarded into van, within twenty minutes we have reached the head office building, while chatting with other colleagues near the main entrance of APP I had a glimpse of a black corolla car and suddenly the big boss came out from the car when he reached near us we warmly greeted him, he was in a very pleasant mood.
During dinner Managing Director has jokingly said to one of his subordinates you eat every meal as last meal of your life; try to concentrate on your job too. A news producer Mr. Naeem Chaudhary a tall and handsome figure famous for his insistence on transparency with the system of APP, has asked me about situation in Kohat district which is my responsibility, I told him it is emergency Sir, from government point of view situation is under control the reality is that due to price hike and covert activities of militants people are living under constant fear and most often feel like agitating on streets.
After having dinner with MD APP we all came back to our guest house in a van, I was watching CNN on TV in my room when bell boy had knocked the door, the door was open I permit to come in, bell boy when entered in my room he was holding a suit case and a bag in his both hands behind him another person wearing safari suit entered in my room, bell boy has told me he is your room mate, the company has given single room for two persons, he just looked towards the single bed and has inquired from bell boy where will I sleep, at 11:30 pm I was just astonished to know that there is one more person accommodated in my room, he has told me I am correspondent from Khair Pur Sind, within half an hour the issue was settled another room was provided to him by administration and I took sigh of relief, nobody wants to sleep with a full grown man, and being a married man I always prefer to sleep with my own wife, during the night my bed fellow can experience some indiscriminate, untimely hugs and kisses and even an attempt to go far beyond that.
When I checked the refrigerator in my room it was empty I called room service for cold drink in the midnight, when waiter came I discussed state of affairs within the refrigerator, he has smilingly told me it is not Karachi Sheraton, you have to tolerate the empty refrigerator, but we can provide you drinks, I jokingly asked him to bring something hot like a bottle of whisky, waiter in state of shock was looking at me and finally came up with the answer it is not available sir.
During the morning we were all taken to hall of holiday Inn Islamabad in a van, where at beginning session of the conference big boss in his opening remarks has told us that all of us are confined in this conference hall till 10 pm, we must keep our mobile phones off and shall, so before lunch we were addressed by Minister of Information Mr. Asif Ali Memon, and Kanwar Dilshad of Pakistan Election Commission, after the lunch we were addressed by Law Minister Mr. Afzal Haider and Mr. Saleem Bukhari then we were addressed by our MD and four news producers till dinner, Just after the dinner our great boss Mr. Riaz Hussain Roy came towards my table and along with him was editor of daily dawn, I was introduced to him by my MD, then chit chat after dinner was followed by our departure to our guests houses, the next day I reached back to my home town Kohat.

Christians Appeal HYDERABAD, Dec 11 (APP)- The Diocese of Church of Pakistan and the Christian community have appealed to the government to expedite the efforts for safe recovery of Dr. Rejinald Humayun, General Secretary Churches of Pakistan who was kidnapped by unknown armed persons from Bannu on way to Dera Ghazi Khan some three days back. While expressing grave concern over the life of Dr. Rejinald Humayun, who was discharging missionary services as Medical Superintendent Bannu Christian Hospital as well as Missionary Hospital Taank, the spokesman of Diocese of Church of Pakistan in a statement on Tuesday said that incident with those who are engaged in humanitarian services should be condemned by the people from all segments of life. The spokesman said that the persons who are engaged in noble cause must be respected and honoured by all and incidents like the kidnapping of Dr. Rejinal Humayun would create difficulties in serving the ailing persons of the society. The spokesman on behalf of the Diocese of Church of Pakistan and the Christian Community appealed to the government to make all possible efforts for the safe recovery of Dr. Rejinald Humanyun and ensure the protection of the life and property of those who are engaged in humanitarian services in the country.

Ten persons are killed by a suicide bomber

‘Ten Pak Army soldiers including a suicide bomber is killed when soldiers of Pakistan Army was attacked by a suicide bomber at 12:30 pm on Monday 17-12-2007 in Kohat Cantonment area near gate of 2 training battalion. When group of soldiers were walking on the road an on foot suicide bomber came near him and had blew himself with explosives, ten soldiers were killed and five were injured, injured soldiers are admitted in Combined Military Hospital of Kohat,’ intelligence sources have said.
When I reached the spot along with few other journalists Pak Army security men have stopped us just at a distance of few yards from actual location where suicide bomber had hit Pak Army men, while we all were standing near the Army Public College located near the gate of 2 training battalion one another light explosion was heard, security men and Rescue 15 policemen are patrolling in the area the spot of second explosion is not located yet.

Political wisdom of a General

Emergency is lifted, Provisional Constitutional order is repealed, all acts during 42 days of emergency period are validated, orders issued during emergency period can not be invalidated by any court of law, and elections will be held on Schedule, today’s news papers are filled with extracts from speech of President Musharaf which he has delivered yesterday night on state owned electronic media.
President Musharaf has said in his speech that agitation politics will not be tolerated, though constitution is restored and fundamental rights of the people are now restored. For outside world it might be an odd announcement but wise and brave President of Pakistan is aware of the fact that opportunists in third world countries most often resort to agitation politics to full fill their dreams of attainment of power and glory, in late 1970’s ambitious Mujib ur Rehman a Bengali Leader had mislead Bengali populace of East Pakistan just to benefit his family eventually when Pakistan was dismembered and Sheikh Mujib became ruler of Bangla Desh it was his nephew who got all the benefits during his rule and common people of Bangla Desh were ignored by their opportunist leader.
Masses in countries like Pakistan are slaves of ignorance, sectarian, regional and ethnic biases, their slavery and economic backwardness is product of their narrow mindedness, even leaders among them can not think beyond their tribal, ethnic and regional inclinations.
President Musharaf being a retired general of Pakistan armed forces has proved that he can take timely decisions to save his country from internal security challenges posed by opportunist leadership, he is also quite capable of meeting all external threats in prompt and efficient manner. Recent handling of militants in Swat is an ample proof of his ability to take right decisions at right time.
